Who’s Edison? He’s an Investor and a student in the art of Investing. He stumbled upon value Investing after a few year of aimless wandering in the realm of investing, which truly changed his perspective on investing.

His journey :

1994-1998: University days, served as assistant lecturer (Indonesia : asdos) for a few semester. Dissatisfied by the prospect and economic benefit of “education career”, he quit the post.

1999: Started his own trading business with his future-wife.

2001: After the first business is pretty much stable, started another business venture which failed, but from which he learnt tons of stuff.

2002: Started his journey in the investing world. About 2 years later, he found “The Intelligent Investor” and Value Investing

2003: Left the trading business in his wife’s care to manage his father’s new  P.E.T bottle-plant.

2008: The bottle-plant running quite smoothly now, he’s starting his apprenticeship in the Shipping and Maritime Industry.

3 things you can always find in his bag : a copy of “The Intelligent Investor” (a good read and also a great emergency pillow), a harmonica (to scare away hot women with) and 3 juggling balls (Great for relaxing your mind, and wonderful icebreakers with kids)

3 most played songs on his iPod : Una limosnita por amor de Dios (a classical guitar score by Mangore), Canon in D (Classical Music by Pachelbel, or check out the electric guitar version), and Under Pressure (Queen and David Bowie)

3 things he’s most afraid of : height, blood and cow extinction (he loves his beef)

3 famous person he would like to have dinner with : Mother Teresa, Benjamin Graham and Buddha

3 things that he wish he’s better at : playing guitar, investing and mandarin.
